On May 15, 2014, I totaled my beautiful 2003 Mustang Convertible. I was driving home from work and my car cut off for some reason. I tried to get over to the right hand shoulder of the road but the cars behind me kept taking the gap that the cars in the right lane were trying to give me because they didn’t want to slow down. I had my flashers and my turn signal on, doing everything I knew to do but as my car was slowing down, I was going maybe 5mph when I got hit from behind by a lady going 45 mph. The Lord protected me from getting seriously injured but I do have chronic back pain from this accident. My friend and co-worker happened by on his way to take his wife out to eat and they stopped when they saw my car was involved in the accident. They waited with me while the police report was being taken care of and then took me out to eat with them and then took me home. I will never forget their kindness and generosity that day. It means a lot to have friends like that. I’m grateful.
