Well I turned 56 today and I’m no longer a Double Nickel… 55 was a good year. I learned a lot of things about myself from just observing how I felt and reacted to various situations. One of the best things I learned this year is that what happens in the world around me has no effect on me whatsoever. I’m reminded that Jesus said that we would be in the world but we wouldn’t be of the world because greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world. Meaning that the peace that I have inside from my Father, God isolates or insulates me from the hell going on all around me. So while I see people all around me fretting and worrying about all the mess going on right now in our world , I can honestly say that it doesn’t affect me at all.
Another thing I see is that everything that is happening is necessary to wake people up so that they can have a hunger to know God and to seek His face. Because God promised that anyone who seeks God in their heart will find Him. Once you wake up, you cannot go back to sleep.
